words. stories. creativity.

this is what lights me up.

I’m Lena. Thanks for being here.

It’s always been about writing for me. Stories have consumed me since I was a little girl - I wrote them incessantly, memorized them, read them, imagined them.

Now I work with teams of all sizes across industries to tell compelling stories.

This means creating standout copy for websites (my personal favorite), capturing a brand’s voice, crafting social media copy, and more. But at heart, I’ll always be a writer first.

My experience in marketing runs the gamut across industries and business sizes.

I’ve written website copy for a leading architecture firm, designed the tagline for an outdoor lifestyle start up, ran social media copy for a funeral home, and spearheaded brand strategy for a music venue (to name a few). I’ve yet to find an industry that stumps me.

I quickly grasp the voice of a brand to tell a story that sticks.

Halfway through college, I stumbled into the field of marketing by accident. I was looking for any sort of side hustle, ideally one where I could do what I loved: tell stories. At that point, I thought copywriting was some sort of legal thing. I wish someone had told that “copy” means “words.” And it turns out, copywriting is just storytelling (but with all the marketing gibberish added in), so I fell in love with it. After working at a full-service marketing agency, I started my own business in pursuit of more creativity and freedom.

Ever since, I’ve had fun (yes, really) partnering with brilliant web designers, boutique agencies, and dream clients to bring their stories to life with compelling copy and brand strategy.

I’ve never been good at staying in one place. I love the way travel shakes up my perspective and creativity. After growing up on the beautiful coast of Maine, I spent time in New Zealand and now call Bozeman, Montana home. I bounce around between Maine, Bozeman, and the desert of the Southwest (with my laptop in tow, of course.) When I’m not writing, you can find me skiing, singing, or throwing pottery. One of these days I’ll narrow down my hobbies but for now, I just love to make things.
